Thanks K.C. Time happened, or the shortage of it, to be more specific. Time to do them and time to write other things. I hope to change that and balance both. The machine still works, but it runs slower these days.
Good to know, Jimbo. Your vote has been tallied. I know that written questions and answers are out of style but I think there is still a place for them. Personally, I sometimes get tired of video podcasts, live chats and various other forms of folks conversing about writing because its too much of a show, a production, and it becomes a performance with actors. Nothing wrong with it, it is the way of the world in which we find ourselves but I like to read an answer that the person I'm interviewing has to actually write down. Each answer is almost a separate little short story - that they have to write, not speak. The written word, even for an interview, is still my favorite medium for books and stories. On a separate note, I have never listened to audio version of a book and most likely won't unless I go blind. I realize that puts me in the caveman category but it's just way I'm wired. Thanks again for commenting. - Jim
It was very enjoyable for me as well but if you're a psycho about asking "good" questions like I was, it was labor intensive and it took a lot of time as I stewed about every little detail. Time for my own writing suffered. Ultimately, I think that had a lot to do with stepping away from it. I loved it though, so I'm thinking maybe only doing one every two months or so. Thanks for expressing an interest Jason, appreciate it. - Jim
Thanks Keith, did you happen to read a few? Is this something you might be interested in reading in the future? Just curious because I'm thinking of maybe starting these up again. - Jim
Great list. Lots of talent there.
Thanks Parker. Yes, I've been very lucky and fortunate with many of my Substack favorites, agreeing to participate without me begging too much, haha.
I always like reading about people who write. Each one is unique and their stories are often very inspiring and instructive. So sure. I tub
Yes ma'am, the story behind the stories, that is exactly what I seek.
Feel free to cajole me into an interview. I'll talk not about my writing, but about being supportive of those around us.
Yes, Jim. More interviews. I wondered what happened to them.

Yes! I have been introduced to some awesome writers through these interviews. No need to commit to a strict schedule--I know it's time consuming.

Yes please! I would enjoy it and benefit from it. Please do.

You got me reading Liz Zimmers. So yes.
Mission accomplished then and yes, she's pretty damn amazing isn't she?
I'm not a fantasy nut, but she pulls me in to her world.
Yes, the then and now of it makes you appreciate these authors even more. How hard they've worked and how far they've come in a short time. Inspiring.
Quite the lineup there

I try to catch author interviews when I see them — I have this one bookmarked and I’ll definitely go through them. I like the idea
Thanks for the interest, Keith. I think I’m going to reach out to a few folks this weekend.
Loved these. I’m going to revisit some of them.
