Wow, Jim. This was a hold your breath, edge of the seat conclusion. So sorry to lose Parker but all the characters stayed true to their mission until the very end. Morrison especially. He knew what needed to be done and decided he had the least to lose by bringing lethal justice. Looking forward to the epilogue. Great work, my friend.

Ahh Jimbo, you're words are music to my ears. I wanted to ramp up everything and give a final scene worth remembering. You have hung through this long series and I highly appreciate it, my man. Pressure is on, purely self inflicted, for the epilogue and I can only hope I do it justice. Thanks again for the support, reading and comments. I appreciate it more than you know. - Jim

A masterfully written final episode, Jim, stark and realistic right down to Morrison avenging Parker's death. You even added a few more horrific details about the murders to wrap up the case. I'm going to miss this pair.

K.C. - Really appreciate you staying around to finish this story, I know serials can be tough to stick with. I don't think I'll ever write a more important epilogue for a story of mine. I need to do it justice, and I aim to do my very best to produce something of value. Thanks again for reading and commenting throughout the story. - Jim

Way to stick the landing. Excited for epilogue.

I don't know Scott, I think I landed like the USA's injured Kerri Strug in 96 Olympics. There was a painful hop at the end because I didn't want it to end, but it was good enough, I suppose. (Watch that clip of Strug again, if you want to tear up btw. Unbelievable guts.) And I'll say it again, I have to do a good job with this epilogue or I'll be very disappointed. Have to. Thanks for reading and the generous comment. - Jim

Very very good ...

Appreciate that very much M.E. - means a lot coming from you. Thanks for sticking with this one. It felt good to close it out, but I also felt a little sad because I'm just not sure of the long series model being a good fit anymore. Ever since the end of the first one, All In a Row, the opens, reads, likes, comments.... everything has been spiraling down. Maybe its the story itself and the same repeat characters that's the reason for losing people's interest. Not sure, but I am sure that I need to thank you. - Jim

I apologize for the short review (I've been a bit distracted, lol). I think this is a good story but I had trouble with the episodic release. It's a complex case and it needs sustained attention, the kind a reader will find in a book (read two chapters, or five, or whatever when the plot gathers speed). I had trouble with the chopped up delivery. You have tension ramping up and then it's a bit stop and go. Like having to rev up the engine each time. I wish you'd release as a novella ....

Oh my god! This was breathless! Absolutely everything it needed to be…but, Parker…that one hurts. Can’t wait for the epilogue!

Thanks so much Liz. I wanted tension and a lot of it so I'm glad that translated. Yes on Parker, she was a relative newcomer in the story, and it honestly hurt me to write it. Funny how attached one can get with fictional characters. No idea how long the epilogue will be but I guess I'll find out soon enough. Appreciate all the support and patience you showed throughout this story. Means a lot to me. - Jim

Gripping. The woman was pure evil. I got no qualms about doing away with her. Just saying. I just hope the girl upstairs and Parker are still surviving.

Yes, Carmen deserved all she got....and more. Appreciate you reading and commenting Sharron. Thank you for staying with this extended series to the end. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, but Parker did not make it. That's why Ramirez was going to shoot Carmen until Morrison intervened. Epilogue coming soon. - Jim

Wow- "Bastard" means the same thing in English and Spanish- you just put an "O" at the end.

Yeah, thanks David but to be fair, I didn't put the "O" on the end. It's a real word in Spanish. Appreciate you reading and commenting. In Texas, you hear all kinds of variations, slang, phrases and diction of the Spanish language - and there are many. Hopefully you enjoyed the series. - Jim

Thanks Stephanie, I suppose I was aiming for both. I always want tension and I'm big on psychology in all my stories. As far as a cinematic feel, I tend to 'see' a story and then tell it, if that makes any sense at all. Appreciate you reading and commenting. Hopefully, if you haven't already, this chapter will persuade you to read the earlier chapters. Regardless though, I want to thank you for reading. - Jim
