Wild and deeply satisfying. I knew we were going on a trip but the destination remained a mystery until the end. Great build up and effective twists all around. 🎉

Another fantastic story. Luis grossed me out from the git-go, and the surprise ending pulled everything together. Disturbing and heinous as promised!

TK, thanks so much for the kind words. Yes, he was a monster for sure and to me, the scariest kind. Right there in the open, in amongst us. More than you know, I appreciate you reading and commenting. - Jim

Great story, Jim. So well paced, at first leading us to believe that Garza is simply a serial womanizer, gradually revealing how little regard he has for their feelings, then of course the realization of what really turns him on. The unexpected ending and the similarities between the two main characters is chilling. Absolutely wonderful.

Absolutely amazing Jim. I love the layering of details, and his obvious lust for life. So meticulous in his search for the perfect victim without even realizing he was being targeted himself. I have to admit I was excited to see this in my feed, but had to wait to read it. It was worth the wait.

Wow, you just made my morning. Thanks for reading and the generous comments. It's amazing what positive support like you have just offered can provide to a writer like me, who wavers between being my own worst critic to halfway believing I can offer something of value. Appreciate it Ben. Thanks again - Jim

I really enjoyed how we were taken along so nicely, step by step, from JFK to the barrio. But what really got me was the superb ending, how it took what was shown earlier, the desperation the Captain saw in others, and turned it around.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting Victor - and I welcome you here. Yes, I was trying to illustrate the thought process of both Garza and her. The difference being he did it for the thrill and she did it to basically survive. In the end though, there is no excuse either way, the results are the same. It's a wicked world out there. Look around in here and stay in touch okay?

Okay, will do. Thanks, Jim.

Your uncanny ability to hone in on even the smallest details and maintain a steady pace is truly impressive. Garza, a seasoned killer, thought he had seen it all. But this time, he met his match. A cold-blooded murderer taken down by another just as ruthless. It's clear now that Garza was more than just a killer - he was a twisted psychopath. Bravo, well done indeed.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting Henya! Yes, he was a nasty piece of work. I worry sometimes about being overly descriptive and occasionally I have to put the brakes on with that. Glad you liked it, it means a great deal to me.

Your descriptions give an extra layer to the telling. No brakes should be put on your descriptions. Well done.

Martine, its always important for me to hear from you. Afterall, we are two alums of Shotgun Honey, haha. Thanks for reading and especially your kind comments. I tried to subtly draw the comparison of Garza and Yara with her almost identical thoughts of why at the end. Anyway, thanks again, much appreciated. - Jim
