You did a great job of weaving the threads of this story together. I kept thinking it would end one way or the other only to be surprised by the next plot element. You came up with some crazy characters. That Tammy/Jenny is ruthless. I didn't expect so much killing. Whew.
Thanks K.C., I appreciate you reading and I love any comments I can get. In the story, I don't think Tammy (as ruthless as she was) did either until the fake robbery plan was botched by the meth addict. With her killing the addict, a new ball started rolling and it's hard telling where it will stop because let's face it, she'll never get to where she wants to go. - Jim
I agree with your analysis of Tammy. Her amateurish plan blew up, and she is just rolling with the insanity that came out of it. It's tragic that she will always find herself in a shitty little town she needs to flee. Great story. I could not put it down.
This was really nicely done, Jim. I realized the girl was in on it but didn’t expect her to make it part of her life plan. Liked the way you merged the stories too. Very “In Cold Blood” middle America grit. Enjoyed it.
Hey, thanks Jack. This was a fun one to write. Long ago, I knew a Tammy or two and you did not want to cross them in any way, shape or form, haha. Really appreciate you reading and commenting. Thanks again - Jim
Tammy! What a character you have created, here, Jim. Complex, ruthless, daring. She is sick... but for some reason, I like her. The last three paragraphs are killer.
Sharron, I'm so glad you liked this one. She was a blast to write about. Always kind of had a fascination for the tough girls, watched their mannerisms and quirks. The soft side of them, no matter how small that soft part was. Thanks so much for reading, the generous comments and your continued support! - Jim
Liz! Thanks for dropping by. As always, I appreciate your reading and commenting. You're pretty damn good at drawing characters yourself! Appreciate you for being you. - Jim
Dark and twisty. Great story, well told, Jim
Thank you, sir. Much appreciated and the comments are always highly valued. - Jim
Gritty description and an ending I didn't see coming. Nicely done!
